Feminist Frequency was founded on the 9th of September 2009 by Sarkeesian. an undergraduate student at York University who had been interested in issues that concern gender and feminism since a considerable period of time. As of 2009, this ebullient young woman was slammed online for launching a website that focused on the gender of videogames. It was not enough to halt her.
